Bleutec Maena Reel
Vertical type Bleutec Maena Reel, which is characterized by the high quality of construction and operation.
The drum of the Maena reels is engineered and manufactured in a single frame, from high density industrial polyacetal. It is designed to provide a rapid release, without bringing resistance to the catch, or jamming on emergence. It carries holes in the sides which are designed to reduce weight, while helping to drain the rope.
This material (Polyacetal) has the following properties: resistance to harsh and long-term use, while at the same time it has zero moisture absorption. In addition, it shows almost zero damage from repeated wrapping and unraveling, a desirable feature in hunting large catches.
The base of the Bleutec reel is made of stainless steel, 1.5 mm thick in the S-M-L models, to offer ideal robustness and stability during use. Bleutec's Maena reel can be mounted either on the speargun's stock or on the trigger guard.
The Maena"s reel is tied in a single set with three stainless steel shafts in sizes S & M, and in size L with four shafts.
The drive lever is also made of stainless steel for unique durability in heavy use and protection especially in speargun bags and general speargun's transport and movement. Its length can be varied depending on the point the user wants.
The Maena's brake is ideally sized for a clear feel, even with a glove. It is designed to allow the drum to be released by pulling the rope from the prey or by hand. The brake allows the use of the reel's rope itself as a safety device to prevent it from being lost even if it is completely unscrewed.
The design and construction of the Maena is such that it allows rapid unwinding, with minimal noise and no oscillations in its rotation. The holes in the drum, apart from reducing the overall weight, allows for easier drainage of water from the coiled rope.
