SSI was created by the passion of a group of divers who shared a dream to introduce the ordinary world to the magical underwater world safely. Since 1970, SSI has expanded to 27 international offices in 110 countries with educational materials in 27 languages. It is represented in more than 3,100 diving centers and resorts. SSI is a founding member of the international diving standards body in the USA and Europe. SSI certification cards are recognized all over the world, wherever you want to dive. As of June 1, it also holds the ISO certification, which is popular all over the world.
With the SSI training method on which all our courses are based, you will learn to dive comfortably and safely. This requires four key elements: Correct knowledge, skill, appropriate equipment and experience.
From a very young age he heard the call of the sea. At the age of only 10, he hits his first game with a speargun and is enchanted by the underwater world. At the end of the 90s, he became a member of the club of underwater hunting friends "GLAFKOS" where he first came into contact with competitive spearfishing and underwater shooting.
Some 20 years later he is now a passionate spearfisher with an excellent knowledge of modern open water fishing techniques. In 2005, he began to write articles systematically in the special press. At the same time, he shoots short films on the theme of underwater hunting, which become popular. In 2008, he started a professional collaboration with one of the largest companies in the world in the field of the sea. Tolis decided to channel his passion for underwater hunting safely, so he goes to Halicarnassus where he is officially anointed an SSI freediving and first aid instructor. At the same time, he gets the diplomas in the specialties FREE IMMERSION and TRAINING TECHNIQUES.
In 2020, his love of underwater hunting will give him the Mediterranean record in the "Yellowmouth Barracuda" species.
In 2021 he becomes a Freediving Instructor (BF) and Spearfishing Instructor.
